Legal basis of the processing

The personal data indicated on this page are processed by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - Department for Digital Transformation in the performance of its tasks in the public interest or in any case connected with the exercise of its public powers (Article 6(1)(e) of the GDPR), including the powers conferred on it in implementation of the National Data Catalogue Intervention “Design, creation and implementation of a central catalogue (in open data, according to the principles of the European Interoperability Framework10) comprising data schemes, ontologies and basic vocabularies to support the creation and design of interoperable digital services” forming part of Measure 1.3.1. of Mission 1 - Component 1 - Axis 1 of the NRRP. The data are also processed to ensure the functionality of this site.

Data processed, purpose of processing and storage period

Navigation data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this site acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.

This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers and terminals used by users, URI/URL (Uniform Resource Identifier/Locator) addresses of requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and the user's computer environment.

These data, necessary for the use of web services, are also processed for the purpose of:

  • obtain statistical information on the use of the services and products offered (number of accesses, number of visitors per time slot or day, most visited pages, number of clicks on the content offered and number of interactions with it, geographical areas of origin of users, etc.);
  • check the correct functioning of the services offered.

The navigation data does not persist for more than one hundred and eighty days.

Who will know the personal data

The personal data collected may be communicated to subjects, internal or external to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, towards whom the communication is configured as necessary for the pursuit of the purposes specified above, including third parties who provide a service to the Data Controller.

In particular, the implementing body for the ‘National Data Catalogue’ project on behalf of the Presidency of the Council – Department for Digital Transformation is the Istituto Nazionale di Statistica (Istat), appointed as data controller pursuant to Article 28 of the Regulation, as the provider of the technological services relating to this site. Rights of data subjects

Data subjects have the right to obtain from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department for Digital Transformation, in the cases provided for, access to and rectification or erasure of their personal data or restriction of processing concerning them or to object to processing (Articles 15 et seq. of the Regulation). The appropriate request can be submitted using the e-mail addresses specified above.

Right of complaint

Data subjects who consider that the processing of personal data relating to them carried out through this website is in breach of the provisions of the Regulation have the right to lodge a complaint with the Guarantor for the protection of personal data, as provided for in Article 77 of the Regulation, or to bring an action before the appropriate courts (Article 79 of the Regulation).

Cookies and other tracking systems

This section provides detailed information on the use of cookies, how they are used by the site and how to manage them, in implementation of Article 122 of Legislative Decree No 196 of 30 June 2003, as well as in compliance with the ‘Cookie guidelines and other tracking tools’ issued by the Guarantor for the protection of personal data by decision of 10 June 2021.

In particular, this site makes exclusive use of technical cookies, i.e. text files deposited on users' computers, necessary for the operation and monitoring of the site itself. Cookies are not used for user profiling. The only processing carried out concerns the production of statistics, with pseudonymised data, on navigation on the site itself, through the Matomo product.

The configuration adopted, in order to exclude the processing of identification data, collects the following information:

  • The IP address, which is masked by resetting the last 2 bytes (xxx.xxx.0.0)
  • The operating system used
  • The browser type and the main language set in it
  • The type of device (PC, smartphone, tablet).

Technical session cookies (non-persistent) are used, strictly limited to what is necessary for the safe and efficient navigation of the sites.
